Over its 30 year history, Queens Center has built a reputation as one of the top producing malls in North America. The super regional shopping center, located in Elmhurst, New York, serves a vast multi-cultural, socio-economic and ethnically diverse population of over 2.2 million people residing in 780,640 households within a range of 43 zip codes.

Queens Center is also one of the most visited shopping centers in the world. Over 21 million guests visited the center last year, making it a highly trafficked retail destination.

In 2002, Queens Center embarked on a $275 million expansion, renovation and modernization program. The results: more space, more amenities and more stores. The redevelopment, which was completed in late 2004, delivered a new and improved Queens Center as a world-class suburban shopping center in an urban environment.

The center now offers nearly 1 million square feet of retail space which includes a new and expanded JCPenney, an expanded Macy's, a new 900 seat, 13 eatery food court (complete with a children's play area), and an enhanced merchandise mix with over three times the number of retail stores.

In addition, atriums have been added to bring more natural light into the center creating an open, airy feeling to the shopping environment. The parking facility has also been enlarged, making it easier for shoppers, retailers and visitors to park.

Today, the new Queens Center is the most exciting and dynamic shopping center in the borough. As the revitalized town center and economic engine of the community, Queens Center continues to attract visitors from the local area and beyond.
