Naked Boys Singing:
The idea here is simple: there are naked "boys" (men, actually), and they are on stage singing. That's the gimmick of this long-running musical revue, which features musical numbers like "The Naked Maid," "The Bliss of a Bris," "Fight the Urge," "Members Only," and "Muscle Addiction." Now entering its seventh year, Naked Boys Singing continues to charm theatergoers and attract handsome young actors who are willing to work in the buff.

Altar Boyz is about a struggling Christian boy band riding the wave of America's latest fascination with religion. Song titles include "Girl, You Make Me Wanna Wait" and "Jesus Called Me On My Cell Phone." The cast has changed since the review below was posted.

Drumstruck is billed as the world's first interactive drum-theatre experience. This description is from the press materials: "Drumstruck provides a 2-foot-tall drum on every seat-and the entire audience gets the chance to make music together. Featuring 11 South and West African percussionists, they start the show with a pulse-racing bang: song, dance, and eye-blurring drum performances. Then they lead the audience in an exhilarating experience of African drumming."

Evil Dead: The Musical:
This is a new musical based on film director Sam Raimi's 1980s cult-classic horror movies of the same title. As the press release puts it: "Boy and his friends take a weekend getaway at abandoned cabin, boy expects to get lucky, boy unleashes anicent evil spirit, friends turn into Candarian Demons, boy fights until dawn to survive. As musical mayhem descends upon this sleepover in the woods, 'camp' takes on a whole new meaning in uproarious numbers like 'All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons,' 'Look Who's Evil Now,' and 'Do the Necronomicon.'"

Mimi le Duck:
Mimi le Duck is a "nouveau musical" by Diana Hansen-Young and Brian Feinstein. It tells the story of Miriam, a discontented Mormon housewife from Ketchum, Idaho, who, in a moment of desperately crazy inspiration, packs her bags and moves to Paris, leaving behind her husband and her successful career as a painter of duck canvases for the QVC Network. There she encounters romance and intrigue, gypsy pickpockets, over-the-hill torch singers, and that ever-elusive spark that gives us the guts to change our lives.
