Fraulein Else:

This is the US premiere of Fraulein Else, written and performed by Amy de Lucia, based on the 1924 novella by Arthur Schnitzler. The play tells the story of a young woman who must make a heart-wrenching decision in order to save her family from ruin, as she struggles between her loyal and love for her father and her notion of self-worth. In a judgmental society without close friends, Else turns increasingly inward, beginning her maddening spiral out of reality. This production premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
